Well, this baby girl has a disease. It’s a cancer that is slowly eating up her body. Its called Necrotizing Fasciitis (Flesh-Eating Bacteria). She is currently under serious condition. This was put on tumblr to be reblogged for donations. Each reblog is equivalent to $1. The more reblogs, the more money goes for her treatment. Every 4 hours a child dies from cancer. I am praying for her.

What if this baby was your daughter/sister/niece .. etc. How would you feel?

I’ve had people bash me all my life. Whether it was intentionally, unintentionally, meant as a joke, or bluntly stating facts, I’ve been hurt or criticized and probably judged more than a couple of times in my life. This is not a pity party. It’s the cause to a road of self-inflicted happiness.

No matter how hard we try, society denies beauty of many forms because of their standards. But instead of blaming it all on them, I formed a compromise in my head as to what society wants and what my body needs. For example, weight. Society thinks that a Coke bottle body is perfection. On the other hand, our bodies need to maintain a certain weight which allows us to be healthy. Thus, we find a better solution and a better motivator. I’ve been trying to lose weight not because of what society dictates but what may be called healthy. I came from that stage though, of thinking that I should allow the perception of others to dictate what my patterns would be. You start to rely your happiness on others and their opinions.

Self-inflicted happiness is fulfilling. So much positivity and so much will is drawn from it. It’s amazing how a few words from the people you love most push you to love yourself even more and to feel beautiful because of them and their belief in you. :)
